Having decided to find a replacement for the lenses of the spectacles I already had, I went to several opticians and asked for a price. The costs they told me were so high for my minor myopia that I decided not to do it. A few weeks later, I travelled to India and decide to try again. The cost there was ten times less for the very same quality (hence, I came back with 7 pairs!!!!).
Thus, I decided to take a look into the optical sector in Europe and the US and found out so many discrepancies that I knew that a business could come out of it.
Altogether with several partners, we decided to create the first virtual optician which will redefine the worldwide optical sector in years to come.
By redefining the sector’s hypothesis, we rationalized and redistributed the optical value chain for the end customer’s own benefit. Each level of the sector (manufacturers, opticians and end customers) should be able to pay for the services they need instead of the full spectrum!
We strive to bring better solutions to each level of this sector.
Therefore our first objective is to bring to the final customer the right information about his optical purchase and a quality product made by fully qualified opticians.
